Whizdom.ai has been named one of five finalists selected for SBC First Pitch 2026, putting the iGaming technology company on stage in front of industry leaders, investors and decision-makers at SBC Summit in Lisbon this October.

The competition recognises ambitious early-stage companies building for the betting and gaming industry. Five finalists have been selected to present their products, business models and growth strategies live, with each competing for a prize package worth more than €140,000 designed to accelerate their next stage of growth.

A changing conversation around AI

For Whizdom.ai, the recognition comes as the iGaming industry's conversation around AI is beginning to change. Operators today have access to more player data, platforms and automation than ever before, but those systems do not always translate into a more relevant or connected player experience.

Whizdom.ai is focused on closing that gap. Its technology is designed specifically for iGaming, helping operators turn live player context into useful, governed action across customer interactions, recommendations and decision-making, while working alongside the technology and workflows operators already use.

Rather than treating AI as another layer to add to an increasingly complex technology stack, Whizdom.ai is therefore focused on making AI operational: connecting intelligence, decision-making and execution rather than adding another isolated tool to the operator stack.

From data to action

Operators aren't short of data. They're short of ways to turn that data into useful action at the moment it matters.

Alfonso Gonzalez Garcia, Co-Founder of Whizdom.ai, said: "The conversation around AI is becoming much more practical. Operators no longer just want to know what AI can do. They want to know whether it integrates with the technology they already have, whether they can control what it does, whether their teams can step in when needed, and whether it actually delivers measurable results."

"That's the problem we've built Whizdom to solve. First Pitch gives us an opportunity to show the industry how we're approaching it and why we think connecting intelligence directly to action is the next important step for iGaming."

What happens next

Whizdom.ai's platform brings together iGaming-specific capabilities spanning player intelligence, recommendations and customer engagement, with a focus on live context, controlled actions, human handover and continuous improvement.

The company will now present its proposition live during SBC First Pitch at SBC Summit 2026 in Lisbon. The final takes place at 3:00pm on 1 October 2026 on the Product Innovation Showcase Stage, where the five finalists will pitch to a judging panel of gaming, technology and investment experts.

The winner will receive a package of technology, media, professional services and industry support worth more than €140,000 to support the company's continued growth.
